Community Shares of Wisconsin has strengthened and supported the local social and environmental justice movement for 50 years. Its member nonprofits are on the front lines in Dane County and throughout Wisconsin to protect our rights and build a safe and sustainable future for all of us.
Your support fuels a movement that is based on innovation, equity, and collaboration among leaders in local organizations.
Social Justice
We fund nonprofits that acknowledge the systemic impact of racism and other forms of oppression that result in disparities in access to economic and social success. We prioritize acknowledging, identifying, and disrupting policies and practices that perpetuate poverty and inequality because we believe they are the root causes of injustice and must be addressed for real, lasting change.
Environmental Justice
Community Shares of Wisconsin member nonprofits envision a future where we all have clean water and air, where all neighbors have access to family-supporting jobs, and all communities across Wisconsin are safe and thriving.
Equity
Our member nonprofits are our leaders. All of our member nonprofits have a seat on our board of directors and a voice in our decisions. There is strength in difference, and together we transform our community.
Collaboration
Our member nonprofits believe the best solutions to challenges communities face will come from the communities themselves. That’s why our member nonprofits build partnerships and meaningful collaborations across the state to amplify the voices of those who are already the experts.
What Our Supporters Say
